# Workspace settings

The dock item and the page header both say Settings. This is the settings screen for the current workspace. Nexus shows it to the workspace's owners and admins, from their workspace role (`settings.workspace`). Unticking Settings under Roles on [Organization settings](/user-guide/platform/organization-and-members) does not hide it.

Opening Settings lands on General. Account Settings, Organization Settings, and Platform Settings are not in this list. They open from the account menu.

*Settings, on General. The header says Settings. The list on the left covers this workspace: General, Members, Secrets, Data Export, then one page per feature.*

## General

| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| General | Name, group, slug, description (200 characters), logo, desk wallpaper, and colors. An owner or admin can edit them, except the slug, which is set at creation. The logo is stored in the workspace drive. The wallpaper editor is the same one as the home desk background. |
| Members | People in this workspace, and the workspace role each one has. See [Invite a workspace member](/user-guide/platform/invite-a-workspace-member). |
| Secrets | See [Add a secret](/user-guide/build/secrets/add-a-secret). |
| Data Export | The nav item exists. The page does not call an API. It only adds a row in the browser. |

## Which apps are shown

Apps lists the marketplace apps installed in this workspace. The page says: enable or disable the marketplace apps available in this workspace. A checked app is shown. Home puts the enabled ones on the desk. An app arrives here because a module shipped it and it is installed. This screen does not install the module. Install is the Marketplace.

The same Features group holds Agents, Drives, Graphs, Maps, Models, Ontologies, Search, and Skills. Search here is which topics and scopes are off. See [Configure workspace search](/capabilities/platform/configure-workspace-search) and [Search](/capabilities/platform/search).

| Item | Where to read |
|---|---|
| Agents | [Agents](/user-guide/build/agents/overview) |
| Apps | This page. The dock section is [Apps](/user-guide/build/apps/overview). |
| Drives | The same drives the Files sidebar shows. A platform super admin can turn platform and system drives on or off. Everyone else sees the table and cannot change it. |
| Graphs | [Knowledge graph](/user-guide/build/knowledge-graph/graph-overview) |
| Maps | The dock section. See [Orientation and navigation](/user-guide/get-started/orientation). |
| Models | [Models](/user-guide/build/models/overview) |
| Ontologies | [Ontologies](/user-guide/build/knowledge-graph/ontologies-overview) |
| Search | Topics, and which scopes are off. |
| Skills | The nav includes Skills. The dock has no Skills icon. |

## Workspace roles

Workspace roles are owner, admin, member, and viewer. Members is where this workspace assigns them.

The list is `GET /api/workspaces/{id}/members`. A row marked via organization is an organization owner or admin. That role is locked on this screen. Change the organization role under Organization Settings, on Users.

An owner or admin of the workspace can invite by email as admin, member, or viewer, change a member's role among those three, or remove the member. The invite creates the account if needed and emails a sign-in code. It does not offer the owner role. The steps for Nexus, the CLI and the REST API are on [Invite a workspace member](/user-guide/platform/invite-a-workspace-member).

What each of those four roles can open is not edited here. That matrix is Organization Settings, on Roles.
