# Configure workspace search

Workspace **Settings** controls which search topics and workspace scopes are off for this workspace. The Search dock section still needs the `search` feature in the organization role policy; this screen only trims what appears inside Search.

## Web UI

### Open Settings › Search

Open **Settings** in the dock (workspace owners and admins). In the nav, open **Search** under Features.

### Turn topics or scopes off

The page lists search topics and workspace scopes. Uncheck a row to hide it from Search for this workspace. Built-in topics such as People and Organizations stay available until you disable them here.

Changes apply on the next visit to Search. Per-browser scope switches on the Search page are separate; see [Choose search scopes](/capabilities/platform/choose-search-scopes).

*Settings › Search. Built-in topics, Nexus features and web engines, each with its Enabled box.*

### Return to defaults

Re-enable rows you turned off. Built-in topic text comes from the product unless you saved an override; resetting overrides is on [Edit a search topic](/capabilities/platform/edit-a-search-topic).

## CLI

Not applicable.

## Python

Not applicable.

## REST API

Not applicable.

## Config

Not applicable. Topic overrides and custom topics are stored per workspace in the Nexus database, not in `config.yaml`. Modules can seed topics from code when their pipeline runs (for example a Products topic on a key-account workspace).
